  • Welcome to the September / October President's Corner.

    Paul and I are a bit late with this exciting update, we have had numerous requests for Before and After Hours events from our members, Ribbon Cutting requests to schedule, four more new members, three major Events to schedule, and a launch of our new Young Professionals Group!

    We wanted to have dates to report to our members with this update, so thank you for your patience !

  • UPCOMING EVENTS UPCOMING EVENTS

    • 10/27 Thursday @ 5:30 pm: Join us for Mount Auburn Cemetery's Tour and Reception for cocktails, appetizers, and networking at the historic Bigelow Chapel, followed by a tour of this renowned facility. This is always one of the most enjoyable Chamber events. 

    • 11/02 Wednesday @ 4:30 pm: The Young Professionals Group's (YPG) first meeting will be held at the Belmont Savings Bank Board Room, Leonard St., Belmont.

    • 11/12 Saturday: Goddard School is having an Open House and Grand Opening

    • November TBD: The third part of our Before Hours Networking and Educational services, will be announced soon.  Partnered with ArcPoint Strategic Communications, this third part of our series will be presenting Christine Dunn, Founder, President of ArcPoint  as speaker.

    • November TBD: Scheduled for early November, our Chamber's After Hours Networking will be at Cambridge Savings Bank, Watertown, featuring a New England Patriots theme.

    • 12/02 Friday: Holiday Tree Lighting on the Delta will be held at Watertown Savings Bank, our Chamber, and the Watertown Rotary Club will be join in the coordination of this event.  Watertown Savings Bank will be hosting refreshments, entertainment and visits with Santa inside the Main Office at 60 Main St.

    • 12/15 Thursday: We will bring back the always enjoyable Chamber Holiday Party at the Commander’s Mansion. Great socializing, networking, plus some surprises are in store.  Stay tuned.​​

    • January TBD: The Annual Business and Community Awards Reception has been moved to January to celebrate the outstanding Business and Community leaders of 2016.  Please vote!

    • 09/29 Thursday: Fall Kickoff Networking Event
      • Fall Kick off Networking Event at Branch Line was a huge success.
      • Thanks to our sponsor Belmont Savings Bank!
      • Our Chamber had over 70 members and guests register, and we all enjoyed a fun night of socializing and networking
      • Our new Young Professional’s Group was introduced at the event. The YPG will be a Multi Chamber Networking Group, fostering Leadership Development, Professional Development, and Community Development
      • Co chaired by Tyler Britland (Belmont Savings Bank) and Kevin Kristof (New York Life), the YPG first meeting will be held November 2nd, 4:30 PM at the Belmont Savings Bank Board Room, Leonard St., Belmont

  • COMMITTEE: THE BUSINESS REFERRAL NETWORK ("BRN") COMMITTEE: THE BUSINESS REFERRAL NETWORK ("BRN")

    The Business Referral Network (BRN) is opening up to welcome a few new members.  If interested in attending a meeting and/or learning more, please contact Paul Airasian (Chamber Director) or Gerry Paone (BRN Chair). All Members are encouraged to part-take in this and the many other activities and benefits offered by the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce.

    Women's Breakfast Club held their Fall kickoff meeting Friday September 30th,  8:00 AM at our Chamber. Great camaraderie and networking, October’s meeting will be held at Liz Padula’s Artemis Yoga. Stay tuned.
