    • 06/06 Monday: Golf Tournament at Nashawtuc County Club
      • Members: Co-chairs: Jerry Amodeo and George Bargamian with Committee members Mike Albano, Bob Airasian, Chris Murgo, Marillian Missiti, Sandy Penchansky, Paul McCaffrey, Kevin Krisof.

        The Golf Committee succeeded in providing our Chamber and their guests with a record breaking and very enjoyable Annual Golf Tournament June 6th, at Nashawtuc CC
        The weather was perfect, and the winners of the Peter Airasian Memorial Trophy this year were from Cambridge Savings Bank: Mike DeStefano, Rugo Santini, Joe Cirrone, Dave Citrone.

    WBCC's Website and Facebook Update

    The Chamber needs help keeping the website and our Facebook up-to-date with all our activity and needs some help.  If you are interested, please contact Paul or myself.

    WBCC's Board Treasurer

    In preparation for the 2017 calendar year, the Board is looking for a new Board Treasurer.  Jerry Amodeo, our current Treasurer, has assumed new responsibilities at his job at East Boston Savings Bank and will be stepping down in December 2016.  Anyone interested, please see Paul or myself.

  • COMMITTEE: PASSPORT TO HEALTH COMMITTEE: PASSPORT TO HEALTH

    The Chamber supported the Passport to Health “kick off” event at Belmont Town Day, Saturday, May 21st as co chairs Stacey Hammerlind and Elena Selivan coordinated the efforts of several of our businesses at the very busy event.

    This Event launch will coincide with a permanent Chamber Wellness Initiative to create programs of Health, Wellness, and Fitness for our Watertown and Belmont Communities and Members.

    A Belmont Media Center Cable Show called “The Business of Health” will debut soon with our co-chairs highlighting participating businesses.

    A Watertown Cable Show called "Live Well, Watertown" will debut in September, co-hosted by member Stephanie Venizelos, and will highlight three Chamber businesses and organizations every month.

    Committee members include Board Member Carolyn Zaleski, Mike Albano, Debbie Dobbins, Board Member Kathleen Darcy, Gerry Paone, Linda Bolduc, Nancy Donuhue, Sheri Kennedy,Stacey Hammerlind, Tim Tuttle, Elena Selivan, and Karen Krisin.

    The Social Committee is responsible for introducing, discussing,  planning, and scheduling all Chamber events, mentoring new members, being Ambassadors and hosts at Chamber events, and new member development.

    Current Agenda discussions include:

    • Before Hours Educational and Networking Events:
      • Social Media (LinkedIn and Facebook programs): The Chamber and member Arc Point Strategic Communications are planning the second and third presentations of our Social Media Three Part series.  The program will continue in September.

      • Mount Auburn Cemetery bi-annual tour & reception
      • Planning fall events
    • Ribbon Cuttings (to be scheduled):

  • COMMITTEE: THE BUSINESS REFERRAL NETWORK ("BRN") COMMITTEE: THE BUSINESS REFERRAL NETWORK ("BRN")

    The Business Referral Network (BRN) is now in its fourth month with individuals from a core group of 9 WBCC Member Organizations becoming more familiar with the businesses represented and referring potential clients to one another.

    The Group meets every other Thursday morning, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, at the WBCC Office, with the next meetings scheduled for Thursday, June 2nd and June 16th.

    We are seeking additional Members and participation is open to WBCC Members at no additional cost. If interested in attending a meeting and/or learning more, please contact Paul Airasian (Chamber Director), Nancy Fay Donahue (BRN Co-Chair) or Gerry Paone (BRN Chair). All Members are encouraged to part-take in this and the many other activities and benefits offered by the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce.

  • COMMITTEE: WOMEN'S BREAKFAST CLUB COMMITTEE: WOMEN'S BREAKFAST CLUB

    Our WBC meeting June 24th, at the Watertown Police Community Room was packed, and enjoyed our Board Member Carolyn Zaleski’s presentation on Leadership.

    Carolyn had great interaction with the audience, with strong networking before and after.

    WBCC Women's Breakfast Club is dedicated to supporting women in order to excel through business and personal connections and laughter - to love the life they live and create a life they love. The Club will provide a forum for open discussions, mentoring and camaraderie.
